The preferences window has nine tabs. It is reachable from the JT-Bridge menu or with the ⌘, keyboard shortcut.
Station
Set your call sign to be used for sending alerts when you are called. Activating alerts is done in the Notifications tab.
Set your grid locator to be used for distance and bearing calculations.
WSJT-X tab
There are two modes for getting the CQs and logged QSOs from WSJT-X, File system and Network.
If using the file system, set the directory where WSJT-X stores it's activity and log files. Defaults to ~/Library/Application Support/WSJT-X
If using the network, the settings has to match the WSJT-X settings. Multiple WSJT-X instances can send their decoded traffic to JT-Bridge. If they are on different hosts, use a multicast address such as 239.0.0.1
If a WSJT-X instance has connected, a message will be shown in the lower left corner. It can take up to 15s until WSJT-X connects.
Logger
Here you set which logging application you are using and also if you want to log QSOs from WSJT-X in the logging application. The list only includes applications that are installed.
It's possible to transfer logged QSOs in WSJT-X to your logging application
The log file for searching QSL status can be changed, if the default one from the logging application is not correct.
It's also possible to specify what type of QSLs to search for.
Data Modes
This is a list of data modes used when checking worked or confirmed status in the logger. If the list is empty the mode from WSJT-X (JT65 or JT9) will be used.
Notifications
Here you can choose to send CQ's to the OS X Notification Center. Click the cog wheel to go to the Notification Center settings. E.g. to set the format of the notification or turn off the sound.
You can activate notifications when you are called, enter your call sign in Station tab.
CAT
JT-Bridge implements the DX Lab Suite Commander interface to communicate with WSJT-X.
If you want WSJT-X to get and set the frequency from your logging application, set a TCP port that JT-Bridge will listen on. Enter a number between 1024 and 65355.
When the TCP server has started, the main window will show a message in the lower right corner that it is listening on the chosen port. If it is not saying anything the server failed to start, probably because the port is already in use. Try another port.
In the WSJT-X preferences, these settings has to be set in the
Radio tab:
Rig: DX Lab Suite Commander
Poll Interval: E.g. 1s
Network Server: 127.0.0.1:<port> (where the port is the one
JT-Bridge is set to listen to)
PTT Method: VOX or CAT.
Mode: None
Split Operation: None
Lookup
Here call book lookup is enabled. Enter user name and password for the choosen call book.
Columns
Choose which columns to display. It is possible to set the
State column to only show information if the CQ is from the
US.
To have the same functionallity as in earlier versions than 1.3,
check "Show DXCC status in band and mode columns", do not show
Name, CQ, ITU, State, IOTA Grid, LoTW, eQSL, Distance and Bearing
and uncheck Band and Mode in the main window.
The macros are used to set the free text message in WSJT-X. Data from the table columns can be inserted by prepending the column name with a %-sign. Note that the name is case sensitive. E.g. %Call, %Name etc.
